May 18-19, 2017, in the city Mariupol, Donetsk State University of Management held Internet Conference “Ukraine-EU: opportunities and prospects for cooperation” dedicated to the 25th anniversary since its creation, the aforementioned, now respected, establishment.
The conference aim is distribution and increasing the level of quality of knowledge in the field of European integration of Ukraine, Neighborhood Policy, partnership between Ukraine and the EU in the field of economy, politics, security, scientific discussion about the possibilities and prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
The event was attended by government authorities, local governments, teachers, scholars, graduate students, NGO representatives and experts related to the questions of European integration. To the participants of the conference was read the greeting of the President of the Ukrainian Assembly of doctors of Science in Public Administration (hereinafter – the Assembly), Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine Evgeny Aleksandrovych Romanenko. Evgeny Aleksandrovych welcomed the participants and said that the conference will made a certain contribution to the integration of public administration in Ukraine in the European space, along with the introduction of European standards and values in the minds of people.
During the conference, was held webinar in the border of the Jean Monnet Program “European studies as a means of conflict transformation in Ukraine” (Ukrainian European Studies Association), with the participation of Ukrainian and foreign experts. In the webinar discussed the main problems and prospects of European reforms in Ukraine.
Participants noted that, at the present stage of development of Ukraine as a democratic, social and legal state, its necessary to make a controversial revision of its achievements of the last season and find the best way for the improving of the own competitive capacity and ability to be a full subject of international relations. The basis for the success of European integration efforts can be no haste and prudence, not the pursuit of formal result, and taking into account the totality of the actual circumstances and trends. Ultimately, this policy meets real European traditions.
From the Assembly, a conference attended its President – Evgeny Aleksandrovych Romanenko and Executive Director of the Presidium – Irina Vitalievna Chaplay with a presentation on “Communicative interaction between government authorities and the public – EUROPEAN INTEGRATION TOOL OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION IN UKRAINE”.
Fresh information on the status and trends of the integration movement of Ukraine to the European Union will enhance professional development, providing opportunities to establish systematic cooperation with relevant organizations.
