Kazakhstan: Presentation of Global Trends in Media Development

 

 

 

Partner of the Assembly, Kazakh National University named after. Al-Farabi, with the support of the UNESCO Office in Almaty, presented a presentation of the global trends in the field of freedom of expression and media development (2017/2018) held in Almaty, Kazakhstan during the III conference “Models of International Education Journalism for Sustainable Development “(MTIJ).

The presentation is part of the global edition of Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development in 2017-2018. Participants’ reports focused on issues of gender equality in the media, presented a global perspective that serves as an important resource for UNESCO member states, international organizations, civil society groups, academics and individuals seeking to understand the changing global media landscape. . The presentation also took place at the Forum of Universities Alma-Mater of Journalism, which took place April 4, 2018 in Almaty in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, the presentation is scheduled for May 3 at a seminar on quality journalism in Central Asia organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE Bureau, which will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
