Congratulations on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord (Apple Savior)!
As we know from the Bible, on this day Christ appeared to his three disciples in the light of divine glory, demonstrating the unity of the Holy Trinity. On this day, there is a tradition to bring the harvest to the church for consecration – they celebrate pears, apples, honey and wreaths or harvest ears of rye and wheat. This is seen as a glorification of the richness of nature.
For the hosts, the holiday symbolizes the end of the harvest and the end of summer. The weather was also forecast for this day. If the day is sunny and cloudless – autumn will be dry. If rainy – wet. A clear day foretells a frosty and snowy winter.
It is believed that the nights after August 19 become much colder. It is not allowed to eat apples and apple dishes until the Savior. But on this day, on the contrary, it is customary to pluck and consecrate apples and other fruits of the new harvest.
Let this holiday give the well-being, fulfillment of all desires and strengthen faith in the future, and success accompanies all endeavors always and in everything.
