On October 20, 2017, the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference “Decentralization of Power, Reforming in Ukraine: Current Status and Problems of Personnel Training for United Territorial Communities” was held at the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, co-organized by the Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of Science in Public Administration.
The purpose of the conference is to examine fundamental and applied and methodological issues of the functioning and development of the united territorial communities in Ukraine.
More than 100 civil servants, officials of local self-government bodies, scientists, experts, teachers of higher educational institutions, doctoral candidates, graduate students, applicants, representatives of public organizations took part in the conference.
The conference discussed the problems of the economic aspects of decentralization in Ukraine, public administration and legal support for the decentralization reform, in the context of globalization processes.
Pedagogical workers, civil servants, workers of local self-government bodies, representatives of public organizations, scientists, journalists, representatives of international organizations, etc., presented their materials at the conference.
In general, the event is designed to promote the development of the united territorial communities in Ukraine and the creation of a democratic environment for their functioning.
From the Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of Sciences in Public Administration, the conference was attended by Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor Yevhen Alexandrovich Romanenko and PhD in Public Administration Irina Vitaliivna Chaplay.
