May 9 is a special day that will always be the embodiment of peace, unshakeable stability and great strength of the spirit of our people.
On this glorious day, we come back to the unforgettable May, 1945, with a deep respect to remember those who elected our freedom in a terrible battle with fascist invaders.
The holy memory of the Great Patriotic War remains with us as a high form of courage, spirit, self-sacrifice, hard labor, and, at the same time, eternal sorrow for those who gave their lives for the freedom of the Fatherland.
On behalf of the Assembly and myself, I personally wish you, dear veterans, dear fellow countrymen, confidence in the future, health, well-being, inspiration, goodness and optimism for the most joyous, happy days.
Let there never be more wars in our land, only a peaceful sky, in homes – abundance, and in the soul – peace and joy!
