“Kazakh Universiteti” publishing house has published “Media and information literacy. The Russian-Kazakh dictionary – the reference book” – 2019, 273 p. Authors-originators members of the Ukrainian Assembly of Doctors of Sciences in Public Administrationscientists of al-Farabi Kazakh National University Akhmetova L. S., Verevkin A.V., Kudabai A.A., Lifanova T.Y., Shorokhov D. P. worked on the book more than ten years.
The integrated approach to media literacy and a media education focused on the broadest theoretical and methodological base is presented in the Russian-Kazakh dictionary reference. In the dictionary reference are generalized not only the concepts which are narrowly characterizing the system of the main terms with which the media literacy and media education operate but also are presented the concepts opening the main theoretically approaches to formation of mass communications, information and communicative technologies and public consciousness. 
The dictionary reference will be useful to school students and youth and also to journalists, teachers, PR-specialists and all those who are interested in questions of media literacy and media education.
The dictionary reference is published within the grant AP05135021 “Development of National Model of the Kazakhstan Media Education in the context of Modernization of Public Consciousness and Realization of Priorities” of “Mangilik El” project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
